Disengage The Simulator

Well Hellview 3 has come and passed and all I can say is anybody who ever doubted CKY eat your words and smile because they are back and stronger than ever. For those of you who don’t follow CKY Hellview is their annual Halloween show where they play in their home state of Pennsylvania. The first two Hellviews being held at The Electric Factory. But with Bam Margera recent Bar/Club The Note opening he wanted CKY to play there for Hellview 3. The Note is an extremly small intimate club where crowd interation is necessary. I’m not 100% sure but i think CKY was the first band to sell out The Note. CKY was stronger than ever having fun laughing and joking with eachother. They did around 22 or 23 songs including a song from their CD coming out in either March or April next year. I can truly say that if Hellions On Parade is a hint of the next album CKY will get bigger than ever with the help of Roadrunner Records. Here are a few highlights from the night. 

 It was one of my friends first CKY show ever and he wasn’t really heabanging or into the band and Chad must have noticed it because for like a full minute in a song Chad just cane over and stared him down making funny faces at him. After the show when we were talking to Chad he started messing with him yelling at him that he can’t fucking hide that he found him. 

Since we were all under 21 we were limited to going to the 30th show rather than the 31st show but I said screw it I’m dressing up anyway so I got a pair of coveralls and a Micheal Myers mask and I’m pretty sure I was the only one dressed that night. Before the show while in line Chad came down the line and shook everybodies hand and talked to them and when he got to me his first words were wheres your fucking mask at. In between songs I put on the mask and when i put it on everybody in the band started going nuts. Knowing that I got them that psyched really made the night for me.

 After the show the drummer came out and threw his remaining drumsticks into the crowd one of which my friend caught. When the crew started taking everything off the stage I yelled one of their names to try to get a set-list but he had already promised to give it to somebody else. So we were just hanging out about to try to talk to Chad when one of the other crew had a set-list in his hand. Nobody else noticed him so I was like yo let me get that set-list.

After the show I got to get pictures with Matt and Chad and get them to autograph the set-list and talk to them. As I was walking up to talk to Chad his first words were wheres your fucking mask. So after I got him to sign the set-list I told him to put his mask on so we could get a picture.

Then security started telling everybody under 21 had to leave the club so we went and got in the merch line bought a couple t-shirts and a hoodie. Then went outside where Matt was hanging out. Got pictures with him and got him to autograph his set-list. Then security started telling everyone that they needed to start leaving because the neighbor doesn’t like people loitering outside. I was disappointed I didn’t get to meet Deron since hes way into horror movies and went the most crazy when he saw my costume during the show. Oh well that will give me something to look forward to the next time I see them. To anybody who’s a CKY fan and is afraid to walk up and talk to any of the band don’t be because they are some of the nicest coolest people.
