Hellview 3

Well Hellview 3 has come and passed and all I can say is anybody who ever doubted CKY eat your words and smile because they are back and stronger than ever. For those of you who don’t follow CKY Hellview is their annual Halloween show where they play in their home state of Pennsylvania. The first two Hellviews being held at The Electric Factory. But with Bam Margera recent Bar/Club The Note opening he wanted CKY to play there for Hellview 3. The Note is an extremly small intimate club where crowd interation is necessary. I’m not 100% sure but i think CKY was the first band to sell out The Note. CKY was stronger than ever having fun laughing and joking with eachother. They did around 22 or 23 songs including a song from their CD coming out in either March or April next year. I can truly say that if Hellions On Parade is a hint of the next album CKY will get bigger than ever with the help of Roadrunner Records. Here are a few highlights from the night.

It was one of my friends first CKY show ever and he wasn’t really heabanging or into the band and Chad must have noticed it because for like a full minute in a song Chad just cane over and stared him down making funny faces at him. After the show when we were talking to Chad he started messing with him yelling at him that he can’t fucking hide that he found him.

Since we were all under 21 we were limited to going to the 30th show rather than the 31st show but I said screw it I’m dressing up anyway so I got a pair of coveralls and a Micheal Myers mask and I’m pretty sure I was the only one dressed that night. Before the show while in line Chad came down the line and shook everybodies hand and talked to them and when he got to me his first words were wheres your fucking mask at. In between songs I put on the mask and when i put it on everybody in the band started going nuts. Knowing that I got them that psyched really made the night for me.

After the show the drummer came out and threw his remaining drumsticks into the crowd one of which my friend caught. When the crew started taking everything off the stage I yelled one of their names to try to get a set-list but he had already promised to give it to somebody else. So we were just hanging out about to try to talk to Chad when one of the other crew had a set-list in his hand. Nobody else noticed him so I was like yo let me get that set-list.

After the show I got to get pictures with Matt and Chad and get them to autograph the set-list and talk to them. As I was walking up to talk to Chad his first words were wheres your fucking mask. So after I got him to sign the set-list I told him to put his mask on so we could get a picture.

Then security started telling everybody under 21 had to leave the club so we went and got in the merch line bought a couple t-shirts and a hoodie. Then went outside where Matt was hanging out. Got pictures with him and got him to autograph his set-list. Then security started telling everyone that they needed to start leaving because the neighbor doesn’t like people loitering outside. I was disappointed I didn’t get to meet Deron since hes way into horror movies and went the most crazy when he saw my costume during the show. Oh well that will give me something to look forward to the next time I see them. To anybody who’s a CKY fan and is afraid to walk up and talk to any of the band don’t be because they are some of the nicest coolest people.

well my 360 finally bit the bullet. it had a good run 2 year and about 10 month’s. So looks like while my 360 makes a trip to the big house in the sky I’ll be going through another play through of Metal Gear Solid 4.

Yeah Im Back

I have been neglecting my blog but I will try to get back into the swing of things. And theres no better way of doing that than by going on a spending spree. Over the last couple days ive picked up quite a few movies. First off from Amazon.com I got the Sleepaway Camp Boxset, Halloween: The Curse Of Micheal Myers, and Jason X.

I know I got probably 2 of the worst movies from the series but so what i needed to complete the collection. As soon as I completed my Halloween Collection I noticed a Halloween 30th Anniversary Boxset is being released by Anchor Bay. The only Problem with that however is that Anchor Bay only has the rights to Halloween1,4, and 5. So this boxset only includes those movies and the 25 Years Of Terror Bonus Disc. And as far as Friday The 13th Series I’m curious to see this remake or whatever it is that is coming out next year. The reason I say remake or whatever is because in the original Friday The 13th is wasn’t Jason doing the killing it was Jasons mother Pamela. And since Rob Zombie isn’t doing it maybe it wont be bad but hey the Black Christmas and Prom Night remakes were terrible compared to the originals so the track record isn’t looking to good.

Then last night I was in Wal-Mart and all i can say is I love the month of October because all store start stocking obscure horror movies which they would normally not have. I picked up The Tomb by HP Lovecraft, The Mad, Buried Alive, Five Across The Eyes, and Knock Knock. I just watched Knock Knock tonight and I might start working on a review for that or not. It might be cool to review a horror movie each day until Halloween.

Yeah expect alot of stuff to be put up tomorrow. One of which being a Dark Knight review and fret-not it will be spoiler free. All I’m going to say is believe the hype because it was amazing. I’ll also give my point of view of everything E3 related. Stay Tuned.

It’s been A While

It’s been a while since my last post. In the time since my last post I got the MGS4 PS3 Bundle. I’m sort of confused why I got it I mean MGS4 was sweet when I got it but I haven’t played PS3 since i beat the game I mean I started it to get the firmware updates. I got excited about trophies but then again I don’t think it’s that big of a deal since I only have 2 friends on PS3. If a multiplatform game comes out I’ll probally always get it on 360 since I have 23,785 points and 0 Trophies as of now. Haven’t really played the PSP that much lately either. It’s still really early for Sony though hopefully they’ll pull some stuff out and get some more big name exclusives. Me and some friends are going to see The Dark Knight tomorrow but sometime during the day I’ll do a post about E3 and then Monday a review for Dark Knight.

spending spree

So the summer of spending has only just begun. I picked up the God of War PSP bundle tonight along with a couple games. I picked up WTF, Metal Slug Anthology, MegaMan Powered Up, Street Fighter Alpha 3 Max, Midway Arcade Treasures, Ultimate Ghosts And Goblons, and Metal Gear Solid Portable Ops. This is only just the beginning. Next week is MGS4 PS3 bundle time. Havent really decided on which games to pick up with that but I’m sure I’ll pick up a few.

GTA4

Picked up Grand Theft Auto 4 Tuesday along with 50% of the free world. Been busy playing it. It’s definitelya must own for any body with a PS3 or 360. Messed around with some multiplayer with some friends the other night it’s loads of fun just to grab some people and run around Liberty City. My only gripe is that you can’t do any of the activities such as play pool or darts with them. Oh well theres alway patches and DLC that could fix it.

Movie Monday VII Alien Vs. Predator Requiem Edition

Story:

This movie takes place exactly where the first Alien Vs. Predator left off. It begins with a Alien Predator hybrid chest burster emerging from the chest of a predator in outer space. The Alipredator makes short work of the predator space craft and the craft crash lands on Earth in a small mountain town in the United States. A predator on a nearby planet receives a distress call and lands on earth to investigate. The aliens multiply and their numbers grow quickly. It ends up seriously being 1 predator hunter vs. about one hundred aliens and one alipredator with a bunch of the local town folk caught in the cross-fire hilarity will ensue.

Casting:

I choose to not talk much about the casting since i was very poorly done in this movie. A bunch of whiney teenagers you’re just praying gets an alien mandible straight through their face.

Visual Effects:

The effects in this movie are done very well. There are tons of mandibles through skulls and predators just slicing aliens in half. One of my favorite effects in this movie is when the predator literally shoots 2 stoner kids faces right off. Directly following that it shoots a predator and the splatter of acid blood lands on some guys face and it burns his face right off. The alipredator I can’t really see much of a difference in other than that it has the predator mandibles on the outside along with the signature predator dreadlocks. One thing I found really cool was the predalien acted just like a facehugger and could place chestbursters.

This movie might cross a moral line if you’re politically correct. I say this because within the first 5 minutes a 7 year old kid has a chestburster come out of him. Also all of the pregnant women in a hospital has chestbursters come out of them. I myself am not politically correct and I see movies as pure entertainment so this is OK with me. The one thing I see with these movies is the original concept of in space no one can hear you scream. All four of the original alien movies took place on random spacecrafts, the original Predator took place in the middle of a jungle, even the first AVP took place in a pyramid under ice. The only exceptions being Predator 2 and AVPR both which take place in cities which makes me wonder why stay and fight why not just hop in a car and run for your life. I myself hope they split the franchises apart and make an Alien 5 and Predator 3.

With nearly a month between this post and the last not alot has happened watched a bunch of movies some of which ill go back and review. Pretty sure the only game I’ve purchased is Rainbow Six Vegas 2. That being said I’ll probally start working on a review for that soon. Also Movie Monday will return tommorrow with a vengance. I’m still debating on review cds because my taste in music is completly off the wall and can go from listening to emo to death metal to gangster rap. The next Mortal Kombat was announced a couple days ago for those of you living under a rock the 8th installment of the Mortal Kombat series will be Mortal Kombat Vs. DC Universe. I really dont know what to expect from this game it’s been rumoured it will have no fatalities and little blood. I’ve always been more of a Marvel guy than DC. I mean seriously the only heros from DC I know of are Superman, Batman, Green Arrow, and the Green Lantern with each having their super villians and such. Grand Theft Auto IV drops in another 9 days. I seriously cannot believe it is so close to being released it seems just like yesterday Peter Moore rolled up his sleeve to announce to the world GTA IV was coming. This will truly be the 9 longest days of my life.
